I’ve lived in 6 states now, and crossed the Good Detroit Roots Michigan American Born Grown Raised Local Shirt 4 times. Every once in awhile you see more of a shocking situation, but its rare. Like most have said, urban to rural is the big one, I went from Boston to a town of less than 1000 in Alaska, that was a HUGE shock, but after settling in a bit you get used to things.Are you still living in the small alaskan town? If so, how’s that like? I’ve never even step foot in a small town. Happy cake day. Not anymore, It was one of the coolest 3 odd years of my life, but would never want to settle there! Most Beautiful place I have ever been though, and wildlife everywhere! I was born & raised in California, I lived in Alaska for 18 years, and have spent a Good Detroit Roots Michigan American Born Grown Raised Local Shirt of two years abroad. Alaska is technically a part of the US, but it absolutely feels like a different country. It broke my heart to leave Alaska and moving back to my hometown was a culture shock that I’m still adjusting to. California summers are a rip off- dark by 9pm and it’s too hot. In AK I could get off work at 8pm and still go on a long hike with no lack of light and it was rarely too hot. But, damn the winters are hard, and California winters are much nicer.There was more diversity in my Alaska home than my rural California home, and I really miss that
