 Trump during our second year of college. Then he switched about 2 years later to be totally democratic. To quote him, he said “I looked up every issue I cared about and all the facts behind it. Unfortunately, I still held on to the last shred of “the Republicans are the good guys, therefore I must vote for them and also the Clintons are power-hungry tyrants” that I had leftover from my childhood. I regret that vote, but that election night marked the last time for at least the foreseeable future that I vote Republican. I’m currently a registered Democrat though I consider myself a fairly moderate liberal, and I find this position much better suits what I actually believe (not just what I’m told I believe like when I was a kid) and what I find important in how society is governed.
