 This certainly accomplishes the goal of Official Flippin’ For The Final Shirt making you ask yourself wtf you are watching/just watched, but your experience with it is likely to be entirely devoid of enjoyment. I’m not surprised at all that some people really appreciate it, but I don’t know a single person who I could wholeheartedly recommend it to. It had great technical aspects, but I see no reason to ever watch it again. I disagree. In my opinion/experience, Eraserhead is a film in which you can allow yourself to sit back and let your thoughts, feelings, and experiences of it wash over you, like a stream of consciousness. In that way, it requires a different type of Official Flippin’ For The Final Shirt attention than most other films, but in a way that I definitely find to be enjoyable. When I watch it, my mind is active and focussed, but it has less need to try and fit together the puzzle pieces of typical focal points of narratives (like characters and their intentions, say) and enters an almost meditative state in which the film is a catalyst for a trance-like voyage. This is the only movie I’ve ever seen that made me feel like a downright idiot.

Oh my goodness! My daughter had some of the Official Adoption Counselor Shirt’s most wonderful hamsters! She handled them so often and just loved them so much.
